What is airport meet and assist?
A host meets you at the airport, stays with you through the terminal, helps with your luggage or arranges a porter, and sees you to your car, your train or your next flight. It is also called airport concierge or VIP airport assistance.
Is this the same as meet and greet parking?
No. At a UK airport that phrase usually means valet car parking. This is a host for the traveller, not a parking service.
Which UK airports can I ask for?
London Heathrow (Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5), London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Aberdeen each have a page here. For any other UK airport, send us the flight and we will tell you what can be arranged.
How much does it cost?
There is no fixed price list for UK airports. Send your airport, date and flight, and our desk replies with a confirmed price for your journey. You pay only if you accept it.
Can a host shorten the queue at the UK border or at security?
No. Passport checks are carried out by UK Border Force and security screening by the airport, and a host cannot change either queue. A host accompanies you, guides you and helps with your luggage.
My parent needs a wheelchair. Is that part of this?
UK airports provide special assistance free of charge to disabled passengers and passengers with reduced mobility. It is requested through the airline, travel agent or tour operator, ideally when you book and at least 48 hours before the flight. A host from us is a separate, paid service for company, luggage and finding the way. It does not replace the airport's free assistance, so please request that too if your traveller needs a wheelchair or help with mobility.
Can I arrange this for elderly parents travelling without me?
Yes. You can make the request from anywhere, for a parent travelling alone. Tell us who is travelling and what help they would like, and we confirm what can be arranged.
How far ahead should I ask?
As early as you can. We do not publish a cut-off for UK airports: our desk tells you in its reply whether your date can be arranged.
Who operates this service?
AirportPorterService is operated by Elite World Services Limited, India. Requests for UK airports are handled by our desk, and a host is arranged once you have accepted the price.
