Goa International Airport at Dabolim (GOI) is the original Goa airport, located on the southern side of the state and operated jointly with the Indian Navy. While newer flights have migrated to Mopa (GOX) in the north, Dabolim remains the more convenient option if your stay is in South Goa — Colva, Palolem, Margao, Benaulim, Varca, Cavelossim, or any of the southern beach belts. Most domestic flights still operate from GOI, and select international charters continue to use it. Dabolim runs as a joint civil-military airport. Photography of the airfield is prohibited and security has additional checks — leave a bit more buffer time than at purely civilian airports.
